White and Premium Tea

White Teas

Rarer than traditional teas and more expensive, white tea undergoes very little processing and is the closest to tea in its natural form. The leaves are picked and harvested before the leaves fully open, when the buds are covered in fine, white hair.

  • The flavour is lighter and fresher in taste to green tea, with a mellow taste and a hint of sweetness.
  • White tea has the highest levels of antioxidants (EGCG) of any tea type.  Naturally low in caffeine.

Oolong Teas
Grown in China and Taiwan, Oolong teas are among the most highly prized teas in the world.  It is a semi-fermented tea which means it lies between green and black teas.

  • A good Oolong should be strong with a slightly sweet aftertaste.
  • Oolong is rich in polyphenols (antioxidants).

Decaffeinated Tea
To tea purists, caffeine is an integral part of tea and removing it is almost a sin!  However, it’s a great option for caffeine-sensitive tea enthusiasts who still want to enjoy their cuppa.

The trick to producing a quality decaffeinated tea is to selectively remove caffeine from the leaf, but leave everything else undisturbed.

Ahhh! tea is decaffeinated naturally using the CO2 high pressure decaffeination method.  Our technique doesn’t use the chemicals commonly found in many decaffeinated teas.  Liquid CO2 is gently pumped through wet tea where it seeks out and absorbs the caffeine.  The result is a smooth, safe decaffeination.
