This stylish 'Hobnail' style Cast Iron Teapot is the perfect accompaniment to those who love green, white or oolong teas.
Cast Iron teapots are made by pouring hot liquid iron into an aluminium and sand mold. Then when the liquid iron is cool it is finished with an enamel layer on the inside.
This prevents the teapots from rusting and ensures they will last a long time. These teapots have a mesh infuser that sits nice and snug under the lid for loose leaf teas.
- The handle is non metal so it wont heat up when infusing.
- 800ml capacity (About 4x mugs or 6x smaller tea cups)
- Comes with removeable fine mesh strainer for loose leaf teas. (Infuser sits nicely under lid so can have lid on when infusing)
- Lid fits tightly - wont slide off when you are pouring
- Non-drip spout.
While you can brew up any kind of tea in Cast Iron teapots, they are particularly good for green, white or oolong teas, as this is what they were traditionally made for centuries ago in China and Japan.
The great benefit of them is they keep your tea hot for several hours!!
The colour of these teapots is a matt black colour with a rough surface.
