This mug and the lid is made in Germany - the silicone lid is a high grade that is left in the mould for several hours when making. This means it will keep it's shape and not stretch or lose shape over time.
Silicon is an inert material in that it does not release any toxic elements.
Take it your favourite cafe and get them to make your tea in a takeaway mug or keep it in your office.
Commonly used coated paper cups are not biodegradable and the plastic lids contain a number of chemicals that are leached out when exposed to heat. And then you drink it!
