'Tropical Sunset' Iced Tea Recipe

This is the perfect iced tea for summer - coconut, pineapple and all things tropical!  A beautiful pink colour and delightful flavour.

It is:

  • Caffeine Free
  • Full of antioxidants from the Fruits
  • Low in sugar (the only sugar comes from the added Pineapple Juice and pieces of apple in the tea).

To make one glass:

You will need:

Put 2 teaspoons of 'Steamy Pina Colada' and 1/2 tsp Stevia leaves together into a 250ml mug using a tea strainer or infuser.  Pour boiled water over the leaves and infuse for 5-10 minutes, then remove the infuser, cover the tea and cool in the fridge.

When the tea is cool and you are ready to continue making your iced tea, put a good handful of ice into a tall glass (approximately 400mls).  Pour the now cool naturally sweetened Steamy Pina Colada infusion over the top of the ice and add 1/4 cup of Pineapple Juice.

If you are too impatient to wait for the tea to cool down, you can use it straight away and just use a bigger glass with more ice.  But the ice will melt quicker and the flavours will be diluted.

To make one Jug

This recipe was made using our 1.5L Iced Tea Jugs, which has a built in infuser.

You will need:

  • 8-9 tsps 'Steamy Pina Colada' Fruit Infusion
  • 2.5 tsps Stevia leaves
  • 315mls Pineapple Juice

Put 8 or 9 teaspoons of 'Steamy Pina Colada' and 2.5 teaspoons of the Stevia leaves into the infuser section of the Iced Tea Jug.   Pour 4.5 cups (250ml sized cups) of boiled water over the leaves, and leave to infuse for 5-10 minutes, then remove the infuser, close the lid of the Jug and cool in the fridge.

When the tea is cool and you are ready to continue making your iced tea, pour in approximately 315mls (About a cup and a quarter) of Pineapple Juice into the jug with the infused tea.

You can add some ice to the top of the jug if you wish, or serve in glasses that have plenty of ice in them.

You will get approximatley 4-5 large glasses of tea from this jug.
