All about Tantrum Tamer
What’s in it?
Lemon Balm - Will reduce the anxiety and irritability often associated with PMT. Helps to calm and lifts the spirits.
Yarrow - This herb can be used for many menstrual problems: painful periods, no periods, heavy bleeding as it will generally regulate the menstrual cycle.
As a diuretic can help alleviate some of the fluid retention associated with PMT.
Licorice - As a mild laxative licorice ensures that the excess hormones excreted by the liver are moved out of the body. They can be re-absorbed and lead to imbalances if constipation is a problem.
Vitex Agnes (Chaste Berries) - works through the dopamine receptors in the pituitary gland. PMS is usually due to a deficiency of progesterone and/or to slightly elevated levels of prolactin. In both cases vitex will help re-balance these hormones. It is specific for PMT – particularly if the symptoms are fluid retention and sore breasts.
Crampbark - This herb is specific for cramps and pains in the ovaries and the uterus. It appears to have a relaxant effect on the uterine tissue and organs. It will help to alleviate cramping commonly experienced prior to and during menstruation.
